Athena Logo

Logo for Athena, sequential image of Athena helmet rising and text inspired by Greek lettering.

Using Adobe Illustrator, I created a logo that could be used for an animation company. The company is fictional, based on the idea of a company specializing in animation being named and branded after the goddess of art Athena. The design plays on sequential movement of images in animation with coloring based on Greek pottery.

Creating a Logo

Using Adobe Illustrator, I designed a concept art for an Athena themed logo, finalizing it in Illustrator.

Being Versatile

The logo was designed to be able to be used as a logo with text, a logo on its own, and a favicon.

Concept design of Athena logo showcasing the sequential helmet rising.

Initial Concept

I wanted to play on the look of Athena with her helmet and the sequencial flow of images that make up animation. I quickly drafted this concept art in Adobe Illustrator to visualize the idea. The idea was the helmet rising, with implied movement from the helmet changing postion between one another and the darker tones from the back.

Finalized Athena logo with text.

Finalized Logo

The final logo was created in Illustrator same as the concept art. I used Greek pottery as reference for Athena's design and the colors of the logo. The text was inspired by the words of the Greek alphabet, with the divide featured with some of their text symbols.
