Making the Assets
The poster and assets were all designed and created in Adobe Illustrator. Based on the style of the punk era, the text was meant to look as though it was made of cut up signs. Since it is a wasteland theme event that the poster is meant to advertise, the pieces are street signs. Other wasteland elements like the mushroom cloud and spiked car in the distance behind the sign were added to further convey a wasteland look.
Animating
The Illustrator files were taken into Adobe After Effects to be animated. It utilizes puppeted characters creating by adjusting anchor points, keying the position and scales of objects, and effects like disolve.
